Crossing Canada<\/span><\/h1>\n

In 2015, as a concrete demonstration of what perseverance is all about, Steve completed a 13,225 km crossing of Canada using 12 different disciplines chosen by the youngsters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steve is a top-level athlete who has had his ups and downs. Having qualified for the 1992 Olympics, he was injured and had to put his dream on hold. Never one to give up, Steve had to roll up his sleeves and reinvent himself. With his own background and experiences – both successes and failures – he can help young people and restore their confidence, in all modesty, humility and self-assurance.<\/p>\n

A big-hearted man, Steve defended his friends when he was young, and has always believed in the importance of helping people, of putting a stop to abuse.<\/p>\n

The key years in a young person’s life are between the ages of 7 and 17, when it’s important to believe in them and give them confidence. We need to help them realize their dreams. That’s what Steve O’Brien was all about when he was young: a young man helping other young people, usually underprivileged, to give them back the desire to dream and achieve their goals.<\/p>\n
